Touch-Stone Solutions, Inc. is a not-for-profit human service agency providing services to families and individuals in Northwestern Pennsylvania. We strive to offer programs that are multi-cultural, multi-generational, and multi-dimensional while ensuring that our services are always client-centered, family-oriented, community-based, and holistic in nature. Our motto of "Helping People Overcome Challenges" refers to the fact that, while we cannot take away someone's disability, we can certainly provide support and creative solutions to help them overcome the challenges those disabilities present.
As strong advocates for the disabled, we stand firmly on the premise that individuals, even those with limitations and/or challenges, have the right to informed choices. We believe in and follow to the extent reasonably possible the concepts of positive approaches, while always recognizing each client as an individual with hopes, dreams, abilities, and feelings. Our ultimate goal is to empower every individual with challenges to take advantage of the opportunities available to them; opportunities to live as independently as possible, experience their community, make use of its resources, and become an active participant in the community in which they reside.
From our inception in 1993 serving one client, we have grown and evolved and now offer a wide range of services to clients in both Crawford and Venango counties. Throughout our evolution, however, we have consistently been known for our successes with those individuals presenting difficult cases, including those who are dually diagnosed.
Currently specializing in services to the mentally retarded, we offer residential, home and community, employment, and behavioral health programs. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare licenses our residential programs, and we are one of a handful of providers in Western Pennsylvania that is authorized by the Office of Medical Assistance to provide behavioral health services to individuals with mental retardation.
